What we keep, where it lives, and how to have it removed. Last updated September 2026.

If you don’t sign in

The names you keep are saved in your own browser, on your own device. They aren’t sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them. The daily game keeps your streak the same way.

If you sign in

We keep:

• your email address, so we can send you a sign-in link;
• the names you keep, and anything you add in the decision tools: scores, notes, rankings and Showdown results;
• if you invite someone, which of you belongs to which shortlist, and the names you both keep.

A partner only ever sees a name you’ve kept once they’ve kept it too. Your other picks stay private.

Accounts and shortlists are stored with Supabase, our database provider, in the United States. Sign-in emails are sent through an email delivery service. We don’t sell your information.

Cookies

Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. We don’t use analytics or tracking cookies today. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

Searches

We don’t record which names anyone searches for, rates or rules out for analytics.

Removing your data

You can remove any name from your shortlist, clear your whole shortlist with Start over, or stop sharing with a partner at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@shortlisttogether.com from the address you sign in with.
